A fun filled day for your busy child. Activities include DANCE (jazz, tap, Acro, hip hop, musical theatre), ART and DRAMA Our children have less activity right now due to the recent lockdowns and safety limitations. Our camps will give you the parent a much needed break while your child is enjoying a fun, physical active, creative and socially engaging week.This is ideal for the working at home parent too.
Space is limited. We have several camps to choose from.
INSPIRE ARTS CAMP (AGE 6+, Mini Star and Juniors)
Time 9:00 - 4:00pm
Cost: $250.00 + HST (before/after care available. Extra cost applies)
JSOD's Inspire Arts Camp offers a thrilling week of various activities centered around a unique theme. The
campers will engage in music, dance, acting, crafting, and games all based on the weekly theme. The work
done all week culminates with a Friday Afternoon showcase for family and friends. There are five weeks of
the camp, each with a different theme, starting with World of Wizards, inspired by Harry Potter, followed by
Peace, Love & Groovy, #TRENDING, Marquee Mash-Up, and Just Add Magic. The themes are exquisitely
planned out to match students' interests, allowing them to dress up, create crafts and skits, and learn some
magic and card tricks. The overall tone of the text is exciting and fun.
Week One: World Of Wizards (July 10-14) A Harry Potter themed week to the music of the stage
production, crafts inspired by all the wizardry and of course acting like we have boarded platform 9 3/4. An
excellent introduction for those who are not fans yet as well!
Week Two : Peace, Love & Groovy (July 24-28) Let's celebrate a groovy week with all things, peace signs,
hearts, rainbows and dance to some amazing music old and new! Students will have dress up days, they'll
create a groovy show for you as well as some amazing crafts!
Week Three: #TRENDING (July 31-Aug 4) This was such a success in summer 2022 that we are bringing
it back. We look at viral (age appropriate) trends like crafts and dances that are hitting the world by storm
and participating in them in our own JSOD way. Kids of all ages really loved this last year -- a good way to
keep the slime making at the studio and out of your house! hahaha
Week Four: Marquee Mash-Up (Aug 8-11) This is a short week because of the civic holiday. Prices reflect that! All
things Broadway! There are so many shows and musicals that we are inspired by and we'd love
to share this inspiration with your kiddos -- they will create a wonderful musical review with
posters to match and acting to bring it all together. We are so excited about this one and so are
our camp instructors who have watched these shows for years and years!
Week Five: Just Add Magic (Aug 14-18) We have word straight from our students that this show is "so
totally awesome." Based on an ancient cookbook, friends cook up spells to create a wonderful world of
magic! Staff have studied this series to inspire some awesome crafts, skits and magical inspired dances!
We might even learn some magic and card tricks!! We're excited about this new theme and we're sure it will
be a crowd favourite!

TWINKLE STAR CAMP (AGE 3-6)

cost)
JSOD's Twinkle Star Camp offers an exciting week of activities for young dancers aged 3 to 6 years. The
camp includes dance, acting, singing, games, and arts and crafts. On Friday afternoons, a showcase for
friends and family will feature all the camper's hard work. The camp has four unique themes, Bluey, Luau,
Encanto, and Princesses and Pirates which are bound to be exciting. Each theme includes games, crafting,
sensory, physical, and movement play, in addition to dancing, ensuring that each camper will have a fun and
sunny week. Repeat campers are welcome, and there might even be a guest stop by at the popular Encanto
theme weekend!
Week One: Bluey (July 10-14). The show has taken the world by storm! Come on in for some Bluey and
Bingo inspired camp! We'll play all the games they play, craft our own Bluey and Bingo puppets, explore
sensory, physical and movement inspired play and of course, DANCE!
Week Two: Wow Wow it's a Luau! (July 24-28) We'll make our own Lei's, learn to dance like we're at a
Luau, wear flowers in our hair, all the Luau things. Exploring sensory, physical and movement play and of
course dancing, we'll create a wonderful sunny week!
Week three: Encanto (Aug 8-11) *short week due to civic holiday Let's revisit the family Madrigal. This filled
up TWICE last summer. Inspired by the popular movie, we will sing, dance and act as if we are in the family
Madrigal and if we're lucky, we might even have a visitor stop by for photos and fun! It will have a different
spin than last summer so repeat campers are welcomed!
Week four: Princesses and Pirates (Aug 14-18) Lots of pretend play during this week. Imagination and
creative skills will be put to work! Pretend play, games, DANCING, sensory, movement and physical play take
our students through the camp day!
